A restriction request can be filed by someone other than the player

The player chooses a longer term at PlayCity. Close family can also file, but the term is 6 months. A call to the helpline does not replace a written request.

Your own term, and a shorter request from someone else

Self-exclusion is not one button marked “forever”. The person files and chooses the period during which play should not open for them: from 6 months to 3 years. Such a request cannot be withdrawn. That is a longer tool than a daily limit inside a hall’s account. A limit stops a sum or a stretch of time until the end of the day. The register stops entry for the term written on the request.

Close family also have a move, and it is easy to overrate. First-degree family members can apply, but the request must give grounds and the term is 6 months, no longer than what a player can set for themselves. This is not “the family switches someone off for a year with one sentence”. It is a shorter brake, until the person decides, or until the short term runs out.

While a request is being read, stakes do not roll themselves back. A deposit already made and a spin already played are not erased. The request is meant to close the next entry. Anyone waiting for the paper to return yesterday’s loss is waiting for the register to do a cashier’s job.

Two different doors into one stop
  • The player

Chooses the restriction term at PlayCity: 6 months to 3 years.

  • Close family

Can file with stated grounds; the term is 6 months.

  • A limit in the account

Money and time for a day. That is not self-exclusion.

  • 0 800 100 065

When you need to stop today, while the request is still on its way.

A shorter request from family is not the term a player sets for themselves. The helpline is a third, separate step.

The helpline does not replace the register

The number 0 800 100 065 is for when the stop is needed today and the request has not arrived. A call does not lift a person off the list and does not extend a term because someone asked out loud. It helps you see where to take the paper and what to do until morning.

The hall is not the main desk in this scheme. Even a polite support chat does not issue a state restriction. If an operator promises to “add you to the register from the chat”, that is not the procedure. The register lives at PlayCity, and licensed halls are supposed to read the stop from there.

Before you trust someone else’s promise, separate three things: a limit for this evening, a request to the register, and a call that only points the way. They will not fold into one “switch off” button. Each closes a different term and a different door.
